Once a decision has been made to conduct Adultery surveillance, it is crucial that the surveillance investigator is provided with the following information to have a successful surveillance operation and provide you with the details you need:

• The correct subject’s name and spelling. It is not uncommon for the wrong information to be sent resulting in loss of time and additional expense to locate the correct information;
• It is not always possible to provide a photograph of the subject; however, a good physical description would greatly assist in identifying them;
• If a vehicle information is known, then every attempt should be made to provide it;
• If specific dates for the surveillance operation are required, it is important to discuss this with your surveillance investigator;
• Attempts should be made to provide the full civic addresses for your subject and not post office box addresses. This again reduces the costs involved in locating the subject’s residence;
• Be clear in your instructions when permitting the use of pre-text telephone calls to your subject. This could be important if a lawyer is involved;
• It is important to inform the investigator if your subject has retained a lawyer and who is named in the “Statement of Claim’. If a lawyer has been retained, pretext telephone calls are not allowed and contact between the investigator and the subject, including his spouse and others occupying his residence may not be permitted;
• Be clear about the time period you require the surveillance to be conducted. (i.e., start and finish times); and
• If dates, times and places of appointments are known, it is important that they are provided to the investigator

Don’t be fooled by firms who guarantee pictures or video. It is very difficult to obtain and sometimes can jeopardize your case if you are seen videotaping. We treat every case differently to make every effort possible to obtain video!

Would Adultery Investigators guarantee the results?

Unfortunately, many people try to do their own investigations. If you try to do the investigation yourself, you stand a very good chance of burning it. Once the Subject knows he/she is under investigation, you can usually give it up. In some states, you could also be arrested for stalking! It is better to invest the money with a reputable private investigator that specializes in matrimonial domestic cases and have it done professionally the first time. In most cases, judges will dismiss any evidence that is gathered by a none licensed individual, a friend or someone directly related to you. The judge will hold a lot more weight to evidence that is gathered by an experienced licensed private investigator.

My lawyer says I don’t need a Adultery Investigators. Can he handle the investigation?

In some circumstances, the services of a private investigator are not needed. However, if you suspect your spouse or partner is cheating, you need evidence to prove it. It is legal to tape conversations in some states as long as one party to the conversation has knowledge. For Example: In all states, it is illegal to tap a phone or intercept a conversation between two other people when you are not a party to that conversation. Adultery Investigators will not record any conversations or gather any audio evidence unless authorized by the court.

What if my spouse or partner leaves the state?

Most states have reciprocal agreements allowing private investigators to follow individuals in another state as long as the case originated in the investigator’s home state. When your spouse or partner leaves the state to meet the person their cheating with, Adultery Investigators will utilize one of their regional licensed and insured investigators as a sub-contractor to work your case, no matter where he/she travels to at no additional cost to you. What if Adultery Investigators loses the subject while on surveillance?

Conducting mobile surveillance on any vehicle, especially in a congested area is very difficult. There are times when Adultery Investigators may lose the person that we were watching. At times, it may be necessary to stop following the subject that we are investigating. Sometimes there are those individuals who we are conducting surveillance on are looking over their shoulder and being extremely alert, to see if anyone is watching or following them. An experienced investigator will never continue to follow someone who is trying to determine if they are being followed. Remember you can always go back with a different vehicle/investigator, but not if you get burned!

How much will this cost me?

Adultery Investigators will look at all circumstances and situations before conducting any domestic surveillance. In most cases, the investigation will be conducted using two investigators and or additional resources.
